Wordpress- the best blogging platform
For those who haven't heard of wordpress, read on..
Wordpress is a blogging platform, a tool to help us blog. See what the wordpress guys say about wordpress
WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.
More simply, WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it
You may have found two wordpress sites, wordpress.com and wordpress.org. The first one, wordpress.com uses wordpress and allows us to create blogs for without paying anything for hosting and all. But we have lot of limitations there.
Wordpress blogging platform's website is wordpress.org. We download wordpress from wordpress.org . We need to host the blog with some host providers like godaddy, hostmonster, hostgator etc. This type of wordpress sites are more flexible and we can use it for commercial purpose also. ie we can put ads to make money out of the blogs.
Wordpress uses plugins to improve and create new features to the blog. Its easy to install and use. As there are a lot of plugin developers out there, It will be easy for us to find the required plugins. Plugin directory of wordpress.
Wordpress is also highly customizable with themes. There are a lot of free and paid (premium) themes to choose from. We will be able to get any theme suited for our blogs, just google for the theme. I am sure you will be able to find a lot of good themes and you will be very confused about which one to choose.

great piece of information for new bloggers. will help them choosing a blogging platform
It depends on what you’re referring to.Blogger may have more registered users/blog on their hosted blogs than WordPress does. But,as far as self-hosted goes, I’m sure that WordPress has won that one, hands down.
Great article, thanks for the information.
wordpress is the best and easiest cms, dont forget this wp is seo friendly too.
I stopped using WP because of large amount of spambots
