The Important Differences Between Fingerprint And Combination Safes
Monday, August 17th, 2009When it comes to securely protecting your valuables and documents, you don't play around and just get the first safe you find for your home or your office. For well over a hundred years we have been acquainted with the original combination lock. But recently we have been introduced to a brand new kind of safe, called fingerprint safes.
A combination safe uses a set combination, or sequence, of numbers in order to gain access and unlock the safe. This requires that the owner and any others who have access to memorize the numbers in order and this goes for any kind of combination safe, be it digital, analog or electronic. On the other hand, a biometric safe, also known as a fingerprint safes, uses a high tech and small digital finger print scanner to give unlock the safe. One added benefit is that there is more control over user access with a biometric safe, as the owner can easily add and remove different user access. Given that both kinds of safes protect what is valuable to you, you may be surprised to discover that even with the finger print scanning technology, the biometric safes are very similarly priced as thier traditional combination safe cousins.

I think finger print technology will cost more. Its not efficient for protecting unimportant document. But for hi level security, its worth.
Great Information about secure home and office. I love your fingerprint safes and combination lock. Thanks
I’m about to buy one of these fingerprint safes, now that the print technology has gotten better. My gym has an old fingerprint scanning log-in mechanism, and it’s not that reliable.
Thanks for the information. All the documents and valuables of all our family members(nearly 50 members) are kept in a 100 year old safe…only 3 members knows the secret of the combination….and it passes on…..
I prefer finger print locks!
Do they make these in fireproof safes I wonder?
