Speed up booting in windows xp
Monday, March 16th, 2009Do you have a pc which is starting very slow? Then you should read on and try my tips in making your pc boot faster.
I like tweaking my computer, i always look for ways to get the most out of my computer. I will try anything that improve my pc's performanceand today i will tell you how to make your computer boot and complete startup procedure faster.
For this i use Microsoft BootVis. BootVis is a performance trace visualization utility that you can use with Windows XP systems. It can analyse why system boots slower, whether from cold boot or when resuming from standby or hibernation.
Download it from here[softpedia-100% clean software]
After you download it, Open it and from the toolbar, select TRACE and then click on the "Optimise System". A popup will come up and System will restart in 10 seconds.
After restart, the BootVis will optimize the bootfiles and will make the booting and startup faster. Do Not open any applications during this procedure. Wait untill it completes it. Restart the system again.
Enjoy faster booting.
You can also remove all unnecessary programs from the startup using startup managers or by using the msconfig (System configuration utility).
